You can't fail if you don't try
Trying to teach kids the more important lessons in life is tricky. Do I try what my parents tried with me? Do I try what a book tells me to do? Do I try to step out on my own and try a different approach? I thought I knew it all at 16 and now I am finally learning how the older you get the more wisdom you gain. Like I wish I wouldn't have signed up for my first credit card just for the free t-shirt.... or I wish I would've picked a major in college that I would've really used. But if I didn't learn from my own mistakes how could I pass down wisdom to my own kids. So...I tell them try... what if you fail, you would've failed anyway if you didn't attempt it at all. What are you scared of?
